Allison: Hi, my name is Allison Walsh, a long-time mental health advocate and VP at Advanced Recovery Systems. I’m joined by my colleague, Dr. Angela Phillips, a clinical expert and this is our new podcast: Dear Mind, You Matter.
Advanced Recovery Systems is a physician-led behavioral health care company with a mission to put addiction and mental health resources into the hands of as many people as possible so that everyone is empowered to take good care of their own mental health.
This podcast, along with our mental health and wellness app Nobu, are some of the ways we’re working to achieve this goal.
Angela: Mental health matters. We know that left untreated, mental health symptoms can negatively impact overall health and wellness, disrupt family and social relationships, create issues at work or even lead to substance abuse and addiction.
This podcast will be an ongoing conversation with mental health experts, other specialists and people with lived experiences to demystify mental health conditions, treatment options and to discuss what you can do to take better care of your mental health.
Allison: Here’s what you can expect. We’ll be your hosts. From time to time, we may bring in other colleagues, many of whom are clinicians and mental health experts themselves to help us host and dig deeper into specific topics.
We’ll talk about a variety of mental health topics, tips, resources and advice related to that week’s expert and/or topic.
Each episode will be between 20-30 minutes long. We want these to be short, digestible sessions that leave you feeling more knowledgeable about mental health and inspired to take charge of your own mental health.
The first 3 episodes are available now. Episodes will be released every other week, starting July 20.
Angela: You can subscribe to Dear Mind, You Matter anywhere you get your podcasts. We hope you’ll join us regularly and we hope that this podcast is beneficial to you and your wellness journey.
